Hi, today I will be discussing the branch of science, Microbiology. Some studies of microbiology would be medical microbiology and bateriology and many, many more. (Those are the few common ones.) What on Earth is studied? They study archaea, fungi, protists, viruses, micro-animals,and algea. Probably there are lots more, but these are just a few.
In the lab, the special equipment that they use are cell counters, centrifuges [a object that rotates rapidly and separates things; like cream and milk.], microplates [a square shaped container that has to 100 holes to put specialized things in.], and scanning electron microscopes [scans everything with a high-energy stream of electrons.].
If you want to have a job in this particular branch of science, a few of the jobs are to be a pharmacist or a biologist. These jobs pay about $15,000-$250,000 a year. That's a lot!!! Also right now microbiologists are studying if mice are going to help the human body defenses. Human stem cells helped generate mice into a human body immune system and answered the question. Now they vaccinate mice into humans for a treatment of Hepatitis B or Tetanus. Isn't that crazy and weird at the same time?!?!?!
Two of the most famous scientists in microbiology are Louis Pastear and Robert Koch.
Pastear studies food and bacteria and was able to make food preservation and Koch studied bacteria and came up woth pathogenic microorganisms.[bacteria or virus that causes disease].

In marine biology, animals in all bodies of water are studied. Special equipment used is microscopes, petri dish, test tubes, ect. One careeer opportunity is governmental jobs. The average salary range is $52,000 yearly. Studying is very important to us because we need to know about the animals in the ocean or there would be no fish left in the see and those can not be replaced. A famous marine biologist is Dr.Eugenie Clark. She is known for founded the Cape Haze Marine Laboratory and also found wonderful ways of studying fish and sharks.

There are three branches of petrology, by types of rocks. igneous, metamorphic, sedimentary.
here are details about each types.
igneous
rocks such as granite or basalt which have crystallized from molten rock or magma.
and Igneous rocks include volcanic and plutonic rocks.
focuses on the composition and texture of igneous rocks.
metamorphic
rocks such as slate, marble, geniss, or schist.
it started out as sedimentary or igneous rocks but which have changed by pressure, temperature, of both.
focuses on the composition and texture of metamorphic rocks.
sedimentary
rocks such as sandstone, shale, or limestone.
it consist of pieces or particles derived from other rocks or biological or chemical deposits, and are usually bound together in a matrix of finer material.

They use tools such as-hammers, drills, and shovels to dig. If you are a Mineralolagist then you might consider becoming a Geoscientist, Bomeralolagist, Paleotolagy, or a Biolagist one day.
